The video by Kevin DeCloedt and Pixel Pretzel was used to honor Nole Walters and others who have prayed, worked and given generously to create Hope Ministries' Family Life Center, home to 100 men, women and children.
On September 20, 2012, residents of Hope Ministries in South Bend presented a Spirit of Hope award to Project WARM volunteers during the 59th Annual Annual Community Luncheon. Project WARM is a collaboration of volunteers, churches, donors and local organizations committed to providing safe overnight shelter for South Bend's homeless population during the coldest times of the year.
On September 20, 2012, residents of Hope Ministries in South Bend presented a Spirit of Hope award to Harvest Bible Chapel of Granger during the 59th Annual Annual Community Luncheon. Over the last few years, Hope Ministries has developed a strong partnership with Harvest Bible Chapel of Granger.
On September 13, 2011, Hope Ministries of South Bend presented a "Spirit of Hope Award" to a group from Clay Church at our 58th Annual Community Luncheon. A group of youth and volunteers from Firehouse Ministries at Clay Church had impacted the life of a single father and his family by making dramatic repairs to a donated vehicle. On September 13, 2011, Hope Ministries of South Bend presented a "Spirit of Hope Award" to Mrs. Esther Schmucker, the wife of the late Tobe Schmucker. Tobe Schmucker founded what was originally Hope Rescue Mission in February of 1954. Mr. and Mrs. Schmucker's son, Phil, was interviewed for this video that was shown at Hope Ministries' 58th Annual Community Luncheon.
